01 / THE FOUNDER

ROD
DIXON.

Attorney. Writer. Producer. A lifelong student of people.

Rod Dixon was born on Chicago’s South Side. Raised in modest circumstances, he earned full scholarships to college and law school, graduating with high honors. He began his legal career at a major national law firm before starting his own practice in Atlanta.

But film had always held a place in his imagination. He founded Wild Hundreds Productions to tell stories on his own terms. The company’s first film, The Killing Seed, was followed by Hope; both earned recognition at film festivals. Its work has since crossed drama, thriller, horror and comedy.

Across those genres runs a fascination with what people do, what they believe about themselves, and what their choices reveal.

02 / WHY WILD HUNDREDS

THE
3RD.

Long before they were called the Wild Hundreds, those streets on Chicago’s South Side were simply home.

Rod Dixon grew up on “the 3rd”—103rd Street. The nickname “Wild Hundreds” arrived after he moved away, reflecting real violence in the neighborhood he had known as home.

Rather than reject the name, he chose to give it a positive association through film: imagination, creativity, and storytelling. Wild Hundreds Productions grew from that decision—not to erase the history behind the nickname, but to show that it need not be the only story told about the place.

Sometimes the funniest thing a person can do is also the most revealing. Sometimes a good decision produces terrible consequences. Sometimes no explanation is enough.

PEOPLE
ARE THE STORY.

That curiosity is not a genre. It is the freedom to move among them.
